Defective products: On most products, we will accept returns of defective product for replacement for up to 90 days after the date of the invoice. If a product has a longer warranty period, it will be indeicated in the product description on our web site. All returns require a return authorization number (contact us fo an RA #). The cost to ship the product back to Home Security Connection will be paid by the customer. For your protection we recommend that they be shipped with tracking infromation and insurance*. If is is sent by postal service, use delivery confirmation and insure the package. If going by UPS you can use regular ground service. Insuranse is not needed unless the shipment exceeds $100 in value. The cost to ship the replacement product(s) back to you will be paid by Home Security Connection. Please test the product(s) before returning to us. Many items shipped back to us as defective work fine; some after doing something as simple as putting in new batteries. If an item is returned to us and found to be working the customer will have to pay return shipping charges. Also the item must not show signs of abuse or misuse and all parts and accessories must be included.
Exchanges: We will accept product back for exchange within 30 days after the date of the invoice with a 15% exchange fee. Please note that this does not apply to all of our products. Certain items can not be exchanged. Each product returned for exchange must be in its original condition and ready to go back on the shelf or a higher fee may be applied. ADDRESS CORRECTION POLICY
It is very important that we receive a complete and accurate address fro drop ship orders. Because UPS charges us a $5.00 fee for an incomplete or wrong address shipped by ground and a $10.00 fee for an incomplete or wrong address shipped by air, we are forced to pass the charges on to you. We suggest that you stress to your customers the importance of a complete address incluing their street address. (with any apartment or suite number) city, and zip code. You may also want to advise them that you will charge them an address correction fee if their information submitted in inaccurate. If you are assessed an address correctionj fee it will be charged to your credit card and we will e-mail you a copy for your records.
*Please note: Do not ship pepper spray or the Kitched Fire Extinguisher (KFE) by any overnight service or by priority mail. Use UPS regular ground service, or parcel post with the US postal service.
*Annual Drop Ship Fees and shipping charges are non refundable.
